One SUPER UNDERRATED player from each of the top five leagues

There are some players that you instantly think of when the word 'underrated' is mentioned. The biggest name is probably Angel Di Maria. The Argentine has been one of the most consistent and ageless players in the world, as proven with his 2022 World Cup final performance. However, he is in the Portuguese league with Benfica, so we can't put him in this article. Instead, I will list the most underrated player from the Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, and Premier League (from my own 0-ball knowledge opinions)

Ligue 1: Marcin Bułka (Nice)

OK, some of this is going to be biased because I play as a goalkeeper myself. However, Marcin Bulka has proved that he is one of the most underrated goalkeepers in the world. Bulka has overperformed his post-shot expected goals of 21 by four goals, conceding 17 goals so far. he has also completed 87% of his passes and 83 accurate long balls. That's impressive- I can only reach that percentage with tactical goal kicks and short passes, hahaha. But what's even more impressive is that Bułka saved two penalty kicks in one match against Monaco, both shots by Folarin Balogun. Dubbed the Next Szczesny, Bulka would surely play for one of Europe's top clubs next season- or Chelsea, his former youth club. Marcin, don't go to Chelsea- you will develop butterfingers from Todd Boehly.

Bundesliga: Serhou Guirassy (VfB Stuttgart)

There was a time in September when a random striker started taking over the world. This man became the most prolific striker in the world, ahead of Haaland, Kane, lakaka. The previously little-known Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy had made a big name for himself this season, with 21 goals in 20 games so far. Even after his injuries, Guirassy continued his fine form in front of goal for Stuttgart. Manchester United is reportedly interested in Guirassy- listen, Serhou- don't go to United- you will turn into the next Anthony Martial.

Serie A: Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta)

Remember the iconic Argentina 2-2 Netherlands game? The last-minute Wout Weghorst goal that made United sign him? That goal was created by Teun Koopmeiners, one of the most underrated midfielders of the game. Playing as a midfielder for Atalanta, the Dutchman banged in 10 goals and made 3 assists. He is creative in attack, creating 47 chances for his teammates and making an average of 5.36 progressive passes each match. Koopmeiners has announced that he will leave Atalanta at the end of the season, and Juventus are interested. Whoever gets him will get an extremely creative, all-round midfielder.

La Liga: Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad)

Every time Martin Zubimendi has the ball, he orchestrated, controlled, and perfectly handled play with grace. Martin Zubimendi is the ultimate connection between defense and attack. He is Real Sociedad's engine. Receiving the ball near his own goal, Zubimendi would go on runs and play the ball high up the field to turn a goal kick into an advance upfield. at 25, Zubimendi is sought after by premier league giants Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta ordering the club to pay his $60m release clause. We might have seen the new Rodri, or the new Xabi Alonso.

Premier League: Diogo Dalot (Manchester United)

$35m? $35m?

$35m????????????????

wow, wow, wow. There's no way Diogo Dalot is worth just 35m, at least 55m and that's an understatement (no, I'm not a Man U fan). Dalot is one of the most underrated players in the world. A full back who can defend and attack, Dalot was a beast in a defense line of Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. He has been massive in attack, chipping in 3 assists and 1 goal, one assist being the floated cross for Alejandro Garnacho's Puskas-worthy bicycle kick goal.

If he continues this fine form, he might evolve into the Premier League's best full back- if Alexander-Arnold goes to Real Madrid's potential new Galacticos.

Speaking of the new Galacticos, I will write an article on Xabi Alonso's potential Real Madrid superstar team for the 2025/26 season. This team would genuinely dominate European football and put La Liga back to the very top.
