The very best matches, goals, and trophy wins will be showcased right here. Let's get underway for one final time in the siuuuuu 100!

10: Jude Bellingham goal vs Barcelona

On June 14th 2023, Jude Bellingham signed from Dortmund Real Madrid for a fee of $110 million. What Bellingham brought on the pitch against Barcelona was almost double that money. In the El Clasico, Real went 1-0 down after a goal from Barcelona's Ilkay Gundogan. The team looked dispirited. Enter Bellingham. The Englishman scored a sublime goal in the second half, a pacey shot from more than 30 yards out right into the corner of the goal. Bellingham wrapped his performance with the game-winning goal, volleying off a clever Modric dummy, then hit his iconic celebration. Worth every penny. More than every penny.

9: Inter's Serie A title

We're into the single digits now. This season, Inter has been brilliant domestically, only losing twice all season in the league. They racked up 94 points, 19 more than second-placed Milan. Their season will be somewhat overshadowed by their exit in the Champions League and Lautaro's ballooned penalty against Atletico, but they had reclaimed their Serie A crown after a two-year absence. Star striker Lautaro Martinez fired 24 goals, while strike partner Marcus Thuram banged in 13. Hakan Calhanoglu has been instrumental in midfield, goalkeeper Yann Sommer pulling off big saves again and again, and Barella and Bastoni continued to impress. Inter will aim to finish higher in the Champions League next season, but this year, they've been incredible.

8: Chelsea 4-4 Man City

Chelsea 4-4 Man City was hands down the best Premier League match of the season. Chelsea were heavy underdogs against last season's triple winners Man City. In the 25th minute, City's goal machine Erling Haaland netted a penalty for 1-0. Chelsea replied minutes later, from a Thiago Silva header. They took a shocking lead after Raheem Sterling finished a cross from Reece James, who was somehow healthy. City would still equalize at the end of the first half from an Akanji header. In the second half, Erling Haaland scored with his balls to give City the lead 3-2. Chelsea would then once again equalize after Nicolas Jackson bundled in a rebound from a shot by Conor Gallagher. Man City seemed to have won it when Rodri decided to have a dig and the ball deflected off Thiago Silva and into the net. However, Chelsea were awarded a penalty after a challenge by Dias on Broja. Cole Palmer, the former City academy player, stepped up to the spot. And he coldly converted. It had to be him. That was the final goal in what will become a Premier League classic.

7: Joselu double vs Bayern

Real Madrid were 1-0 down against Bayern Munich, and 3-2 down in aggregate, from a beauty of a goal by Alphonso Davies. Time was running out. Madrid subbed off Valvede for Joselu. He immediately pulled one back after Neuer uncharacteristically spilled a shot by Vinicius and bundled the ball in. Then, it was his moment. Joselu was a reject at Newcastle and Stoke, and he traveled to the 2022 final as a fan. When the cross from Rudiger came in, it was destiny. Joselu, a lifelong Madridista and former academy player tapped in to complete his double and ultimately send Madrid to the 2024 final. Define football?!

6: Ademola Lookman hat trick against Leverkusen

Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen head into their most important game of the season, the Europa League final, having not lost a single game for the entire campaign. Their opponents were 'La Dea' Atalanta. Leverkusen went into the game playing their usual style, but Gian Piero Gasperini's tactics completely stopped their attacks. But in reality, this game was all about Ademola Lookman. Lookman's previous major highlight was a hilarious failed Panenka. He redeemed himself and silenced every Leverkusen fan in the stadium. Three goals, each one better than the last one, and Ademola Lookman wrote himself into football history. One of the few 10/10 ratings given by L'Equipe, Lookman became the first ever player to score a hat-trick in a Europe League final. Legendary.

5: Alejandro Garnacho bicycle kick against Everton

Gery Neville described Garnacho's bicycle kick against Everton as the best bicycle he's ever seen. Even better than Rooney's bicycle against City in 2011. Well, I think they are both great goals, but Garnacho might just have secured this year's Puskas there. Best of all, he hit the siuuuuu.

4: Man City Premier League title

They might have 115 charges, they might have Liverpool and Arsenal competing for the title the whole season, but Man City somehow still managed to win the Premier League. They collected 91 points, two ahead of Arsenal, losing only three times the entire season. Goal robot Erling Haaland slowed down a bit and scored 27 goals this season, 9 less than the previous campaign. Phil Foden, England's star boy, racked up an impressive 19. Star midfielder Kevin de Bruyne was injured for the entire first half of the season, but he still registered 10 assists only in the second half, instrumental as ever to City's success. Guardiola had some tough competition this time, but he still pulled it off. Legendary manager.

3: Man City vs Real Madrid in the Champions League

Two of Europe's best clubs going head to head twice in a season is what football fans around the world dream of. And this year, they delivered. The first leg was a battle for the Puskas. For Man City, Bernardo scored a clever low free kick, Phil Foden scored his classic top-bins finish, and Gvardiol netted a sublime curler. On Real Madrid's side, Camavinga's long shot went in after a deflection, Rodrygo calmly slotted the ball in after shrugging off two defenders, and Valverde hit an electrifying volley. In the second leg, Rodrygo bundled in a rebound from his own shot, while Kevin de Bruyne netted the equalizer. In the penalty shootout, Modric's penalty got saved by Ederson, while Lunin pulled off one of the greatest penalty saves in Champions League history after staying in the middle for Bernardo's penalty. Lunin also managed to stop a penalty from Kovacic. Ederson took the decisive penalty for City, and he scored like a striker. However, Rudiger would then score Real's final penalty to send Los Blancos into the semi-finals. What a tie given to the viewers by two of Europe's finest.

2: Dortmund journey to UCL final

11 years ago, Borussia Dortmund played in the Champions League final at Wembley against Bayern, with Marco Reus and Mats Hummels starting. 11 years later, Borussia Dortmund played in the Champions League final at Wembley, this time against Real Madrid, with Marco Reus and Mats Hummels starting. Borussia Dortmund has been an incredible underdog story this year in the Champions League. They topped the 'group of death' with PSG, Milan, and Newcastle. They cruised past Dutch champions PSV 4-1 in the round of 16. They overcame a 2-1 deficit to win the quarterfinals second leg 4-2 against Atleti. They beat Kylian Mbappe's PSG 2-0 on aggregate in the semi finals. At Wembley, awaited Dortmund's opponents in the final, Real Madrid.

Now that you've seen 99 of the best moments, matches, goals, assists, saves, own goals, penalty misses, etc of the season, we have come to our best moment of the season. Most of you might already know. This might be controversial, and not what everyone had hoped, but here goes...

THE BEST MOMENT OF THE 2023/24 WORLD FOOTBALL SEASON:

1. A POR LA 15

Real Madrid has done it again. Carlo Ancelotti's late magic worked again. They have beaten Borussia Dortmund 2-0. It was not Madrid's best game. Dortmund had the best chances, but they failed to convert. And Madrid made them punish. Late in the second half, 5 foot 8 Dani Carvajal scored from a corner kick, and Vinicius netted to put the icing on the cake. It was not the result many had hoped for. Marco Reus will end his career without a major trophy, which is heartbreaking. But another legend of the game, Toni Kroos, ended his club career with the perfect farewell: a sixth Champions League title.

And there we have it. What a season of football. Man City's four-in-a-row title. Real Madrid's utter domination. Inter's comeback season. Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen invincibles. PSG winning yet another Ligue 1. Olympiacos wrote their own Greek fairytale. Ademola Lookman with the game of his life to win the Europa League for Atalanta. Real Madrid winning the Champions League yet again. We have seen some absolutely brilliant players make their mark on the European stage. We have seen some outrageous goals, impossible saves, stupefying assists, mind-boggling own goals, comedy penalty misses, and chaotic matches. But really, we can expect more great games, goals, assists, saves, etc every season. Except that everything would be different next season. Wipe out the league tables. Enter new European debutants. Let the beautiful game of football write its story.
